BYU-Idaho’s Spring 2026 enrollment reached 17,326 students, reflecting a 1.6% increase over the previous year. On-campus enrollment rose by 2.3%, while online and internship participation saw a slight decline.
This growth comes even as more students are choosing to delay enrollment for religious missions, highlighting the institution’s continued ability to attract and retain students despite shifting enrollment patterns.
Approximately 14,800 students are living in Rexburg this semester, reinforcing the university’s significant role in supporting local housing, workforce pipelines, and regional economic activity.
Sustained enrollment growth at BYU-Idaho underscores the importance of higher education as a key driver of talent development and long-term economic strength across Eastern Idaho.
