  1. SBA Boise District Office Seeks Nominations for Small Business Week 2022

Do you or someone you know have what it takes to become America’s “Small Business Person of the Year” for 2022?  If so, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) wants to hear from you. The U.S. Small Business Administration Boise District Office is proud to announce that the SBA is ready to accept nominations for its 2022 National and District Small Business Week Awards, including the annual Small Business Person of the Year award. Visit SBA’s dedicated website www.sba.gov/nsbw to download forms, criteria, and guidelines for submitting a nomination.  

 

The SBA Awards given in celebration of National and District Small Business Week include the following awards:

Boise District Small Business Week Categories:

  • Small Business Person of the Year (National and District)
  • Small Business Exporter (National and District)
  • Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year
  • Veteran-Owned Small Business of the Year
  • Rural-Owned Small Business of the Year

 

Idaho’s small businesses have shown great resiliency during this trying and crippling COVID period.” said Gary Eisenbraun, SBA Boise District Director. “Acknowledging those businesses that weathered the storm while serving their communities is a great way to show just how important and critical they are to our communities and to Idaho. Nominations are being accepted now, so get started today.”  All nominations must be received by the Boise District office by electronic submission ONLY to the District’s BOX account, no later 3:00 p.m. on January 11, 2022. Forms to submit Small Business Person of the Year: Forms.   1. Paycheck Protection Program: If your loan is $150,000 or less, you may be eligible to apply for direct forgiveness through SBA using our online portal. Follow the steps below. For additional information, visit the SBA website.

1.       Find out if your lender is participating. 

2.       Watch a video about how to use the portal.

3.       Apply for forgiveness.
