REDI is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit corporation supported by Southeast and East Idaho Investors across sixteen counties. REDI has assisted Eastern Idaho companies with expansions and relocations, as well as companies desiring to locate to Eastern Idaho. REDI works with new and existing organizations, state and local governments, business, industry, and universities to provide a clear and continuous focus on regional economic development. REDI takes the position of data analysis to propel beneficial growth and continued collaboration.

U.S. Economy Publication Ranked Idaho as #2 for Best Economic Outlook.

Idaho has reached the #1 spot nationally for year-over-year nonfarm employment growth as of the most recent 2025/2026 reports from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). More Tech Firms are starting up and relocating to the Gem State. Businesses looking to escape the high costs of cities are attracted to fast growing communities in Eastern Idaho because of lower costs of living.

Idaho Power, Rocky Mountain Power and Idaho Falls Power provide some of the lowest utility rates in the nation, which positions the state in the top ten states for lowest electrical rates for both residential and commercial power in the nation.

With an array of assets such as, inexpensive land, a favorable regulatory climate, low taxes, abundant resources, a ready workforce, strong Institutions of Higher Learning, and a low cost of living – Eastern Idaho is the best place to start and grow a business, as well as locate.
