Frontier Center for the Performing Arts Reopening Highlights Investment in Eastern Idaho

The City of Idaho Falls has announced the reopening of the Frontier Center for the Performing Arts, with a ribbon cutting and public open house scheduled for April 22 at 4:00 p.m.

Originally established in 1952, the Frontier Center has long served as a key destination for arts and cultural experiences in Eastern Idaho. Recent renovations reflect a continued investment in preserving this legacy while enhancing the overall experience for residents and visitors.

Upgrades to the facility include a more welcoming lobby, improved guest flow, and expanded accessibility features such as ADA-compliant restrooms and a new entrance ramp. These improvements support a more inclusive and functional space for performances, events, and gatherings.

Investments in arts and cultural infrastructure play an important role in strengthening quality of life and supporting economic vitality. Facilities like the Frontier Center contribute to regional attractiveness, support tourism, and enhance the overall experience for those who live and work in Eastern Idaho.

At Regional Economic Development for Eastern Idaho, we recognize that projects like this help support a well-rounded economy by investing in places that bring people together and enhance regional appeal.

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting and explore the newly renovated space during the open house.
