Crystal Olbera Joins Hummel Architects as Director of Business Development
Boise, ID – July 1, 2025 – Hummel Architects is proud to announce the addition of Crystal Olbera as the firm’s new Director of Business Development. A seasoned leader with a distinguished background in both the military and the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) industry, Olbera brings over a decade of experience in strategic growth, client engagement, and organizational development.
Olbera’s career began in the U.S. Air Force, where she served as a Weapons Armament Apprentice and supported Operation Enduring Freedom. Her military service, which included global deployments and technical training, instilled in her a strong foundation of discipline, leadership, and collaboration—qualities she has carried into her civilian career.
Following her service, Olbera pursued her education while raising a family, ultimately earning her MBA and establishing herself in the AEC sector. She has held multiple leadership roles over the past 12 years, most recently at KPFF, where she led internal initiatives to strengthen professional development and coaching programs.

A passionate advocate for mentorship and personal growth, Olbera is known for her energy, empathy, and thoughtful approach to leadership.
