Mayor Kevin England was born in Pocatello Idaho in 1956 to Miles and Ilene England the 7th of 10 children. He has lived in the Chubbuck\Pocatello area his entire life and loves it here. He graduated from Highland High School in 1975 where he enjoyed playing high school basketball. From 1975 to 1977 he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Albuquerque New Mexico.
Upon returning from his mission he went to work with his father and brothers in a Painting and Wallcovering Contracting Business. He worked with that business for 20 years and then spent the last 16 years of his career as a sole proprietor in this same contracting business. He has also been licensed to sell insurance as well as becoming a licensed Realtor.
In 1978 he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, the former Melody Terry. They are the very blessed parents of 6 children and 22 grandchildren.
Mayor England won a seat on the Chubbuck City Council in 2009 where he served a 4 year term, the last 2 as council president. He enjoyed that immensely. In 2013 he was elected as the Mayor of Chubbuck and was elected to a 2nd term in 2017. He serves on the Bannock Development Board as an executive director, the Regional Economic Development Board also as an executive director, the Bannock Planning Organization Policy Board, and the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Board. He is a past District Director of the Association of Idaho Cities where he is now a Vice-President of that association in line to be its President.
He also serves on the Advisory Board for Idaho State Universities College of Technology. He has served in many callings in his church along with his wife. Mayor England loves serving the people of this community.
